Free Christian Resources?!

Have you been searching for free Christian resources that are biblical and truly Christ-centered? Well, friend…I’ve got great news!

Chapel Library

I stumbled across this ministry a couple of years ago as referred by dear sisters in the faith. This ministry has blessed me so greatly by allowing me to bring biblical and Christ-centered resources into my home with a very low/or no cost at all.

They hold to the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689 and this ministry began out of their church in Pensacola, Florida truly as a ministry.

“We operate by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, distributing worldwide without charge as the Lord provides. We do not ask for donations, send promotional mailings, or share our mailing list. However we gratefully receive donations from those who desire to give.”

What a beautiful ministry to be a part of!

How to Get Access

So you ask “How do I get access to these free resources?”

You can access these free resources by going to their website, www.chapellibrary.org or you can download their app onto your preferred device.

They have most all literature available for online viewing right from their website/or in the app. They also make these resources available in the form of pdf files and/or e-publications or basically as an e-book.

All of the online resources are free for you to read and study to your heart’s desire!

If you prefer printed resource material, you’ll notice that there is a price listed next to the “value.” You will be allotted one order up to $20 worth for FREE EACH MONTH!! This also includes FREE SHIPPING!!

You don’t have to meet the $20 threshold if you don’t want/or need to, but it is available to you if you should.

As you proceed to “checkout” you’ll need to create an account; very simple process. Before you submit your order, you’ll be asked if you’d like to make a donation. So, depending if you’re able to and/or whatever the Lord puts on your heart you can proceed accordingly. If you are not able to give or simply do not wish to give; this ministry still makes these printed resources available to you (as long as you are not over the $20 threshold per month)!

Anything over the $20 threshold you’ll need to pay for the difference. For example, if the total in your cart is $23, then you’ll need to pay $3. Or if your total is $44, then you would pay $24. They will not ask for your credit card information unless you are either donating or paying for an order; something I personally appreciate.

What You Can Find

There are all kinds of biblical resources available through Chapel Library! They have resources available on just about any topic/ or biblical doctrine that you could think of.

If you’ll notice, I’ve distinguished that this website and what they offer are Bible-based resources and Christ-centered. This is very important. As Christians we must be very discerning because not every preacher preaches/or teaches the Jesus of the Bible. The Holy Son of God. Rather, their own Jesus. I’ve learned this the hard way, and perhaps I’ll share a bit more on my testimony someday, but for now; I’m very careful what I read and listen to; considering their theology; if it is Bible-based. If not, I will give it a hard pass. This is partly why I appreciate Chapel Library so much! I don’t receive any compensation for sharing this resource; I just genuinely love Chapel Library and I hope that it would be a blessing to you and your family as well.

Personally, I prefer reading an actual paper copy. Something I can hold with my hands, and write notes in, and do highlights. But, there has been an instance or two that I’ve utilized the online viewing/reading option to be able to instantly read up on a particular topic.

They even have courses available to complete online if you’re looking to really deepen your studies. These courses are in the form of Bible studies: complete with a study guide and answers (typically) and a coordinating reading book or booklet. They offer quite a wide range of study topics for you to explore.

Last year in our homeschool, I printed off (oh yes… you can print off these resources for free as well!!) the Ten Commandment pdf and my children and I took about ten weeks to work through the Ten Commandments. In our morning time of family worship, we’d read a couple of paragraphs from the particular commandment we were studying. This was such a blessing to my family. We culminated the unit study by re-creating the tablets out of cardboard and using a permanent marker and displayed them in our homeschool area. The Ten Commandments are important to learn because they have actually left a significant impact on society whether or not they believe in God. God’s way is best; none can deny it.

Something that I’m currently enjoying reading is Charity And It’s Fruits by Jonathan Edwards. While the majority of the authors have lived a time before us, many of these were truly dedicated to the faith and experienced persecution that we simply don’t face today. Their passion for the Word of God, for the gospel, for their Saviour is contagious and you are sure to be encouraged through each read. An added bonus for me, is their style of writing! It is an Old English style and while initially I, and others may be overwhelmed, I encourage you to press through. Don’t let that be the reason you don’t read these literature pieces. I ended up pushing through out of a desire to learn from those who’ve gone before us and saw it as an opportunity to learn a beautiful way of writing and express myself; personally. I find the writing very poetic and compelling.

Quite frankly, the Old English writing style is a lost art, in my humble opinion.

More to Share

One thing I also appreciate about Chapel Library is, again, the very low cost resources not only enables us to fill our home with lovely biblical literature, but also enables us to share with others! There are many resources that can be used as a means of a gospel tract; and something you can keep in your purse or in your car and distribute as you are led. I’ve also given these resources to friends and family as they seemed fit for biblical encouragement in a variety of areas.

Let us know in the comments if you’ve heard about Chapel Library and if you’re already familiar, share some of your favorite resources with us!

Until next time my friends, take care…
